MANCHESTER FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL
This project was done in the capacity of assistant to the creative head within a team of 7 people who are illustrators, graphic designers and photographers.
We created a brand campaign that celebrated the dynamic gastro culture of the NorthWest. The campaign identity was built on the food stories of fifteen of Manchester’s prominent food writers, critics, patrons, chefs and musicians with particular emphasis on how food evokes memories. Visual references focused on familiar patterns, utensils and recipes. The central campaign idea Food Stories finally took an illustrative approach.
The festival’s brand identity successfully reflected the region’s rich culinary character with striking illustrations invoking a sense of tradition and home cooking; while the microsite became the touch-point for media feeds and home to all associated campaign content.
This campaign was devised with engagement at its heart.
